Jel-looooooo all!

first of all, Happy Birthday Abby!

I’ve resubmitted my finacial aid form. I somehow don’t think I’m going to get any cash, but who knows. I’ve also started to fill out my loan applications. So we shall see.

It was wonderful having my family in town. We made it all the way out the Jello Museum (at the urging of my youngest brother). It’s a fun two hour diversion. And you get a free box of Jello when you leave. And all the kitch you can possibly handle in between.

What more could you ask for? How about some Jello trivia (courtesy of the museum):

Jell-O Trivia

March 17, 1993, technicians at St. Jerome hospital in Batavia test a bowl of lime Jell-O with an EEG machine and confirm the earlier testing by Dr. Adrian Upton that a bowl of wiggly Jell-O has brain waves identical to those of adult men and women.

lions and tigers and family… oh my

I think my family thinks that I hate them. Well that’s a bit dramatic. They’lll be coming into town tonight and I’ve been warning them that my apartment looks like a bomb hit it due to all the packing. So I was trying to put them off for a day. Which didn’t work. They’ll be coming through on their way to Toronto (something I had forgotten about).

About 40 days left.

And I just found out Uncle Sam lost my financial aid form. DOH!

Crispy… awh Crud

Someone brought Crispy Creme donuts into work and effectively killed my veggie centered diet. Well actually my lack of will power did most of the work. But man they looked and tasted great.

File under the this I’ve learned about Grad School before I got there is that the words “Grad School” are like garlic and crosses to telemarketers. I just got off the phone with my magazine subscription service, which I’m just about done with, and responding to the question of “What subscriptions would you like to renew” with “Actually I’m going to Grad School and not going to be drawing a salery” led to the fastest “haveagreatdaygoodbye” I’ve ever gotten.

Yeah, I know it’s another Generic Blog design. The background will change but only once I have a chance.
